Cup of Tri Podcast 018: Nick Baldwin

triathlon coaching

We sat down for a great interview with Pro triathlete Nick Baldwin. Born in the UK  but moved to the Seychelles when he was 6, Nick talks us through his career so far, from his first triathlon taking nearly 7 hours at 70.3 UK to winning the AG World 70.3 Championships! He shares a great story of  hard work and consistent training, including his recent move to Western Australia to train with Swimsmooth's Paul Newsome and their squad of uber-swimmers. Ever wondered if it's possible to make a significant improvement to your swimming? Nick has lopped off 28 seconds per 400m in an 8 week period since moving to WA - and that equated to a four minute improvement in his Ironman swim at the latest IMWA. With a proven ability to bike and run well in hot and humid races, it's surely just a matter of time before we see Nick in the top 10 at Kona :)

Nick's Sponsors : Drag2zero, simonsmart, enve, endura skin suits, ISPC Seychelles.

Cup of Tri 017: Emma Kate Lidbury

triathlon coaching, ironman coaching

This week we have a great interview with Emma Kate Lidbury. One of the UK's most successful 70.3 Pro triathletes, EK has won 6 70.3's as a pro over the last few years. She only got into triathlon when, working as a journalist, she was asked by her editor to take part in the Blenheim triathlon and write about it for an article - and that experience changed her life! Currently living in Southern California, we talk to EK about her career so far, her dreams of stepping up to Ironman this season, and what to do when Lance Armstrong gets into the lane with you at swim practice!
