You have helped me achieve things that I never thought I would ever be able to do. The two massive bike trips, the NY Marathon, that amazing 70.3 in Rimini and the two Olympic and Sprint races. I have been fortunate to hear my name called out and climb onto a podium three times!! You have made me ponder the word “gratitude” a great many times during tough early morning workouts in the cold, rain and heat. You were able to put my fears on hold and make me focus on the positivity of what I could do instead of what I could do better. I have grown into an athlete at 50 with a smile on my face and have finally found a sport(s) that I am truly passionate about.
With Rob's help I have continued to progress over the last two years, despite my advancing years, culminating in an age group win at Ironman UK in August 2013 - and a trip to the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii!
Rob has been there for me with all sorts of helpful advice and support when I have needed it. His in-depth training plans and knowledge of the sport, coupled with a common sense approach certainly benefitted me. I am working on reaching my peak at 60!

I am already seeing the fruits of more structured training overseen by a coach with knowledge and a specific interest in me as an athlete. The ablity to consider my needs and aspirations coupled with the demands of full time work, weird shifts and a growing family has already shown significant improvements. The removal of the session planning by myself and just "getting on with what I am told to do" has really helped. Your investment in time and energy always helps when I come in from work and am struggling with motivation... the stock phase from my wife is...."What would Rob say?" ..and I head off to find my kit !!

"Rob's friendly but professional approach helped me make my mind up to take him on as coach for my upcoming Iron distance event. He always showed a real interest in how the individual programme was working for me. No question I asked seemed too irrelevant, helping me with the daunting task that lay ahead for a first timer. Rob helped with everything from pacing, expectations, race nutrition, kit and most importantly the doubts in my own mind.
I can safely say that without Rob’s help, race day would have had a different outcome. I will definitely be calling on Rob’s services again when I select my next challenge."

“Thank you so much for your advice - you have literally transformed me into someone who loves running. You must be a miracle worker!”
“Just to let you know that I had a cracking race (at Ironman Switzerland), and enjoyed it all. I was thrilled to get round in 13:04 … it was so much better than anything I'd hoped for! When I look at my goals I set back last year I've ticked them all - which included staying injury free and being fit enough to enjoy going round. Thanks again - you helped make my race happen!”
Ian Merrington, First time Ironman Finisher, Ironman Switzerland, 13.04
"I first worked with Rob when I was trying to improve my cycling to gain a place on the Olympic Development Squad in Loughborough. The sessions worked on cadence and strength, and I saw massive improvements. I also found that I wasn't getting dropped on group rides and through and off training sessions. Great advice from a coach who knows what he’s doing."
Steve Clench, Olympic Development Squad member
“I had regular contact with Rob during my build up to Ironman UK – he was so helpful and friendly. During the next 6 months, every time I had any issues or wanted any advice I contacted him. He gave me unlimited advice on types of training, and also suggested equipment for my needs. Even after the race he was still helping me with post-race tips and advice, and ways to move forward as a triathlete. Rob has a wealth of knowledge and huge amounts of experience on racing and triathlon training for all three disciplines. Most of all, Rob has great communication skills and covers everything, but not in a way that leaves you confused.”
